Bhagat Singh was a fighter for freedom from British rule in India. Born in a Sikh family of patriots, he was an activist even as a student. He was member of a group of revolutionaries who did not shun the use of arms. They knew that theirs was not a decisive battle against the mighty foreign power. They however wished to rouse the masses into action against the rulers.
Bhagat Singh's life story is full of thrilling episodes of bravery and talent in a hostile environment. India achieved freedom sixteen years after Bhagat Singh and his comrades faced the British gallows with undaunted courage.
